The gym, midday Tuesday

After Criminal Justice, Aeryn checks the gym to see if anyone else is there. It's empty for once, so she goes to get her gloves, straps them on, and starts pounding away at the punching bag.

It isn't that things are bad. In fact, everything right now is going surprisingly well. Chicago even took care of that twitchy feeling she'd been getting from being grounded too long. And yet there's that one problem. The same one that can't go away, that's going to hang over her head and John's as long as she's here. The same one that she forgets about sometimes, or at least doesn't think about. That's the problem that needs to be beaten out when she does think about it.

It's a short-term solution for a long-term problem, but she'll take what she can get.

"True," Cameron agrees and starts punching again. "Doesn't mean he's got to grope my girl again."

"It's not like that..." He scowls and definitely might be seeing someone in the bag. "He needed somewhere to stay, but with the christmas tree there's not much room left and the two beds are pushed together and first he was getting cuddly against my back so we swapped sides and then..."

The punching bag gets a particular nasty hit and comes right back at Cameron who only just manages to dodge it, but he takes the hint and stops. "This isn't helping."

"He's sleeping in the hall way for all I care," Cameron snaps and sighs. "Okay no, that'd be mean. But that's the last time I listen to Vala."

"Hell no," Cameron grumbles. "He can borrow my tent if he has to." Only he didn't because Vala asked and he's still worried they'll go after her next. So maybe he should go check up on her instead of sticking around her.

He strips off the gloves and hands them back to Aeryn. "Thank you. I just remembered that I've got to be somewhere."
