Room 238, Thursday after class

Aeryn's already had a busy day, between class and phone calls, and now she needs to go back to 238. Reason number one being that she needs to check up on her klutz of a boyfriend. Reason number two being she needs to change clothes, because her underwear is still soaked from class. Not dirty.

"Evil," he retorts.

She sighs, and leans in to kiss him lightly. "Better?"

"Yep." He smiles brightly at her. "I'll go tomorrow, I promise."

"Good," she says, knowing that's the best she can do for now. At least without dragging him there after knocking him unconscious. She'd like to avoid that. "Think your foot will agree to stay attached that long?"

"I think it's a safe bet it'll be okay for today," he says and wiggles his toes at her.

"Good," she says. "I hope you didn't have any plans for today."

"I thought I'd go jogging."

"You're on your own there," she replies.

"I'm kidding, honey." He grins at her. "I might hope on over to the couch and watch television."

She looks at the window. "Good plan," she says.

"Is it hot out?" John asks, sitting back up in preparation to hop over to the couch.

"It was warm before," she answers, moving in order to give him room. "It's supposed to get up to ninety-five degrees today. Callisto held class in the ocean."

"You stay inside too," he says firmly. "No outside for you or me."

He stands up, keeping his foot off the ground.

Aeryn stands up, just in case he needs help. "Fine," she agrees.

"Good," he says and hops on over to the couch. He falls onto it and keeps his ankle off the ground.

Aeryn brings the pillow back over for him, setting it on the table. "Foot on there," she orders.

"You're so bossy," he says but does put his foot on the table.

"And I'm good at it," she says. "Need anything while I'm up?"

"You are," he agrees. "Soda, please."

Aeryn dutifully goes to the fridge and brings him back a soda.

"Thanks, babe." He pats the seat beside him. "Come and sit and let's be injured and sick but not sick right now together."

Aeryn goes back to get some ice first before sitting down beside him. "There," she says.

"What's the ice for?"

"Your foot," she says, like that's obvious.
