OOC: Availability

I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I got a job for the next three months, and it's excellent money and hey, overtime liek woah. The bad news is I have a job for three months and it's overtime liek woah so I doubt I'll have access during the day. So starting Monday you won't be seeing Aeryn, Jaye or Quinn around likely until 5:30 PST or later. Though they will still be around in the early morning becase I'm addicted like that.

The best news, though, is that there's a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on my way home. *g*

Phone frellups (edited as the day goes on)

After the gym, Aeryn goes back to her room to shower, then checks her voice mail.

And blinks.

There's a moment of "Who do I kill first?", followed by the realization that either someone's playing a joke or maybe John was sucked into locker 327 at some point and cloned, because he was with her last night. Now the question is "Who do I mess with first?"

After listening to the next message, she decides on John. Definitely John. She picks up the phone to call Rory.

She waits a while, then calls John, because she knew she would mess with him first. And the she places an entirely joking call to Lee Lee.

Then there's a call from someone named Nadia, but she dials back the number and replies.

To make things worse, she gets a call from the theater robot, who thinks she's Vala. She's not even going to consider his offer, and figures she should probably let him know as nicely as possible.

Then there's the call from someone or other that she thinks probably deserves a a reply, but she just can't bring herself to be that nice.

After this call, Aeryn doesn't even know what to make of it anymore, so she dials back, just in case.

And a misdirected call from Cameron has Aeryn slightly miffed. She figures this needs to be remedied.

Aeryn talks to Rory, then breaks into 238, and calls her to let her know.

She doesn't even recognize the voice in this message, but tries to call them back anyway. Because the talking toaster has made her a little sensitive.

And the next one makes her brain break. But it needs to be addressed.

Then this call comes in from Kara, and Aeryn thinks she really should control her knee-jerk reactions.

Room 238, Friday afternoon

After a very interesting conversation with Rory, Aeryn heads back to 238. She had said long ago that she wasn't comfortable snooping through John's things, but at the same time, this is Important.

Because otherwise John and Anakin are going to have to die. And as Aeryn likes Anakin and has a vested interest in John, she doesn't want that. Besides, she doubts she could count on Rory's support.

Closing and locking the door behind her, Aeryn begins the search.

It takes a while, because DRD or not, John can be messy. Or maybe Bertram's just lazy. It is an Earth DRD, after all. Aeryn thinks she underestimated John's talent for collecting things, though, because this is ridiculous. She checks the drawers, closet shelves, bathroom cabinets, even under the fridge. And she finds interesting things in various places, too. Such as the same brand of shaving cream she uses. She decides she really doesn't want to know. And a few letters. She starts to read one, then puts it back. If he didn't give them to her, there was probably a reason.

She spends far too long checking throughout the room, then goes over it again. And when she looks under the bed, where she'd previously been somewhat disgusted by the old pizza hidden under there (and subsequently thrown away), she finds a folder taped to the underside of the bed. Aeryn pulls it off, opens the folder, and decides she doesn't have to kill anyone.

Too bad the poor girl has no idea that pictures can be copied here.
