So, he slips inside her bathroom and turns the water on hot. Really hot. And he lets all the revelations wash away, lets the thought of being tortured wash away and lets the shadows wash away.
He steps out of the bathroom without his shirt and his skin is blotchy red.
When he gets out, Aeryn's stuck the polar bear pictures up in the corner, above the desk. They won't be visible when the door's open, but he's being really weird about this. Besides, if she's here, the door's probably closed anyway.
She gets a look at his skin, and has no idea what to say. So she tries, "Good shower?'
For a long time Aeryn's quiet, and she debates moving the desk as quietly as possible and going looking for Scorpius herself. But that's stupid, and she knows it.

She pulls the covers over them, and attempts to sleep.
