Aeryn is still not freaking out. In fact, she's sitting on the bed, papers in front of her, looking over them. Again.

Maybe later she'll panic that she is so okay with this, but for now, that's not happening.

"True," he says and nods. "But it's gonna happen."

"Have you always been this sure?" she wonders. Thinking back to comments made as early as New Year's, she has to wonder.

"Since after you came back and we worked things out," he admits. "I just kept it to myself. Mostly."

"Mostly?"

"Well, I've been letting things slip since then."

Ah. Just to me?"

"Yes," he says. "It's between us until we're ready to tell people. And I didn't want you to hear plans for our future from someone who is not me."

A little shyly, she admits, "I may have told Rory a little."

"That's okay," he nods. "I wanted you to be comfortable with all this before I started talking. I have a big mouth."

She smiles. "Hadn't noticed."

"Yeah, right," he says and laughs.

"Who would you tell?" she asks, and has no idea when she got so curious about this.

"Cam," John says. "Angel. Rory. Maybe Peter Parker and Greg. Try to send a letter to Lee."

"This really is big, isn't it?" she asks, kind of just realizing that.

"It's a big step," he tells her, brushing her hair back. "But it's a good step. It's what we both want."

She smiles up at him and says, "It is."

"And it'll be good," he says and kisses her. "It'll be different and it'll be awesome."

"Even if I don't have the slightest clue what I'm doing?"

"That doesn't matter honey," he tells her. "We'll be learning together."

"Hm," she says, pretty sure he's got a head start. "I like that the apartment is one of so many. I like the thought of being in a community."

"Yep." He rolls and rests on top of her so he can look down. "You can join cooking clubs."

"Hm. Somehow I don't see that happening."

He laughs and says, "Maybe not. But you'll make friends. And you'll have me. And Rory's not gonna be far."

"I may have to look back at a map," she says.

"Why?" He frowns. "She'll be in the same state and everything."
