Room 238, Monday early afternoon

Aeryn is still not freaking out. In fact, she's sitting on the bed, papers in front of her, looking over them. Again.

Maybe later she'll panic that she is so okay with this, but for now, that's not happening.

He laughs and says, "Maybe not. But you'll make friends. And you'll have me. And Rory's not gonna be far."

"I may have to look back at a map," she says.

"Why?" He frowns. "She'll be in the same state and everything."

"Yes, but I don't know where in the same state," she says. "I like having a point of reference for the area I'm going to be in."

"Oh, okay," he says and reaches for the papers. "Lots of windows. Lots of sun. We can cuddle and watch when it snows."

"There is some sort of cooling unit, right?" she asks.

"Air conditioner, yes." He nods. "I checked that first and foremost."

"Good," she says. "And it's close to your school?"

"Yeah," he says and nods. "I'll get a car or borrow your bike or take the bus. It's cool."

"Still a lot of time to figure out the details."

"But I'm excited," he says and kisses her chin. "You excited a little?"

"A little," she says, mouth twitching into a smile.

"We can be loud," he says with a smirk.

The smile widens just a little. "The walls could be thin," she points out.

"Doubtful," he says, "Apartment walls are usually pretty thick."

"Sounds like a challenge."

"And I know how you love a challenge," he says and waggles his eyebrow.s

She grins. "You know me so well."

"Of course I do," he says and taps her chin. "Because I love you."

She could really just have moments like this forever. "I love you, too."

"I'm getting a shark today."

She's not sure she heard him right. "You're what?"

"Getting a shark," he says. "Kind of fish."

"I've seen pictures. Aren't they kind of... big? And eat people's limbs?"

"Some are," he says. "I'm getting a tank shark though. Small enough for an aquarium."
