Room 238, Thursday before classes

Aeryn woke up early enough, making sure she had enough time to be ready for class and to run through the stuff she'd missed. She's on the couch, mostly frowning at her book and thinking afterwards she'll have to stop by the junkyard. For repairs. Again.

"I don't think so," he says, frowning. "Not today."

"Good," she says, leaning over to trace his jaw with her finger.

"I went and talked to someone yesterday," he says, not really knowing why he's telling her but wanting to tell her all the same.

"Oh?" she asks, curious. "Who?"

"Professor..." He trailed off, not having really gotten her last name. "Um, I don't know her last name."

"You went to see someone you don't even know?"

"No, I know her!" He shook his head. "I just don't know her last name."

"Okay," she says slowly, completely confused. "Why?"

He shrugs. "I don't know. Because I ended up there?"

This is not helping any concern she's had, really. "Okay," she says again.

"It was one of your teachers," he says. "The blonde one."

That would actually be all of them. If it was one of hers and not "ours", she's counting out Emma. "Dr. Reid or Aly?"

"Aly," he said. "I saw Dr. Reid the other day too though. When I punched the wall."

Could be interesting classes either way. "Oh. So you just talked?" Still not helping the confusion.

"That's what it turned into, yeah," he says.

"Why are you telling me this?" she wonders, mostly curious.

"Because we talked about stuff that's recently happened. Well, I talked and she listened."

"Oh," she says, understanding. Mostly.

"Are you mad?"

"No. Surprised," she admits.

"Why?"

[can_be_more]

"That you talked to a teacher of mine that I was hardly aware you knew about this." She doesn't sound mad, she's just trying to figure it out.

"I went there to talk to her about you," he says. "Because I know you like her."

"About me," Aeryn repeats. Anatomy was less confusing. "What about me?"
