Room 238, Thursday before classes

Aeryn woke up early enough, making sure she had enough time to be ready for class and to run through the stuff she'd missed. She's on the couch, mostly frowning at her book and thinking afterwards she'll have to stop by the junkyard. For repairs. Again.

John's actually slept a little longer this morning. He's not sure if it's just from so much talking yesterday or something else but still, it felt good.

She just looks back at him, not wanting to disturb him at all, even if she does just watch him for awhile.

"Aeryn?" he mumbles, feeling around for her.

"Over here," she says, putting the book down.

He sits up a little and blinks in the direction of her voice. "Okay?"

"Mm hm," she tells him. "Just going over some class stuff."

"Oh," he says and flops back down onto the bed.

"Sleep all right?" Aeryn asks.

"Yeah," he answers, rubbing his eyes.

She gets over and comes to sit cross-legged on the edge of the bed. Just because.

"What're you doin'?" he asks, some amusement in his voice.

"Sitting," she says, amused right back.

"Well, duh," he says, glaring at her as best he could while sleepy.

"Do you have to be anywhere anytime soon?" she asks. She's kind of hoping he sleeps more.

"I don't think so," he says, frowning. "Not today."

"Good," she says, leaning over to trace his jaw with her finger.

"I went and talked to someone yesterday," he says, not really knowing why he's telling her but wanting to tell her all the same.

"Oh?" she asks, curious. "Who?"

"Professor..." He trailed off, not having really gotten her last name. "Um, I don't know her last name."

"You went to see someone you don't even know?"

"No, I know her!" He shook his head. "I just don't know her last name."

"Okay," she says slowly, completely confused. "Why?"

He shrugs. "I don't know. Because I ended up there?"

This is not helping any concern she's had, really. "Okay," she says again.
