Office hours- Thursday all day

Aeryn was discovering that after spending a year and a half at a job she hated, getting up early to come in even when you didn't have to for a job you liked was kind of nice. Especially when the alternative was trying to plan class from home while chasing after a tiny child who insisted on walking now.

She'd stopped at the Perk on her way for coffee, and was now ignoring it in favor of her laptop as she did research for class. It paid to actually know what she was talking about.

"Sadly, yes," Anakin said, rolling his eyes.

She sighed again. "It was dumb enough when you did it, no one should follow that!"

"This is what I tell them," Anakin said, "skipping the part about how dumb I was, of course. But they don't listen."

"I suppose I shouldn't be surprised," Aeryn admitted. "We never listened."

She sounded old for twenty, huh?

"Exactly," Anakin grumbled. "I was once a young moron like them. I should be able to outthink them, too."

"I hear it happens with age," she said mildly.

Anakin snorted. "Funny."

"I can be sometimes," she grinned. It was rare, but he was still older, so there.

"Since when?" he teased.

[can_be_more]

"You don't have to be in my office, you know," she teased right back. Because she had nothing to throw at him.

He laughed. "I know an order when I hear one," he said. "Tell John I said hello."
