The gym, Thursday morning

When Aeryn said "in the gym at 6 am," she meant in the gym at 6 am. She'd actually woken up earlier in order to account for any wakeup time John needed. And then dragged him down there whether he was awake or not.

This was what he got for teasing her. She wouldn't be too mean...

John is still rubbing his eyes and yawning. "This isn't fair," he mumbles. "You're not allowed to sleep with me anymore."

She raises an eyebrow, getting the extra pair of gloves. "Should I hold you to that?"

He just stands there, continuing to rub his eyes. "Don't ask me hard questions when I'm not awake yet."

Aeryn smiles, handing him the gloves. "I promise to wake you up quickly," she tells him.

He fumbles the gloves on clumsily, pouting the whole time.

"Promises, promises," he mumbles. "I'd wake up quicker if I went back to sleep."

He is cute when he pouts. She reaches up to kiss him, and muses, "Technically speaking, I don't think that can be true."

He closes his eyes when she kisses him and keeps them closed when she moves away.

"I can make it true," he tells her. "Let's go back to bed and test my theory out."

"Afterwards," Aeryn says lightly, and pulls on her gloves.

"Right," he says and stands there with his hands at his sides. "I have no idea what to do."

Amateur. Aeryn raises her hands up in front of her chest. "Put your hands up like this," she says.

He imitates her form, putting his hands in front of his chest.

"Ta da!" He yawns at her. "So far, so good."

"Make sure to keep one arm up like that, and use it to keep me from hitting you," she instructs. "Now, try to hit me."

Grudingly, he says, "all right," and drops his left hand to attempt some kind of torso shot. Of course, he's not very good.

And it's very easy for her to knock his fist away. "Okay, let's do that again, and this time, try to hit me."

He frowns and stretches briefly.

"All right." This time, he moves a little quicker, again, going for a spot near her side.

She'd been expecting a move like it, so she could dodge it, but she's actually a little surprised by it. "Good shot," she tells him.

Cameron has by 6am already ran on the tread mill and is working out on the other machines with a vengence. He might slightly scowls at John when he enters.

((Don't feel like you have to interact with Cam. He's just working out, but I did put it in my post that he was in the gym most of the early morning so I thought I'd drop him in.))

Aeryn does not tell John anything like "See? Cam can manage this." Because that would be bad.

Cameron would probably agree as it would be bad and John deserves bad right now as he mocked Cam's fitness. And he's not getting pudgy, damnit, that's John's terrain.

Aeryn would get defensive about the pudgy thing if Cam had actually said it.

Cameron would point out that if John thinks Cameron is fat, that means John is too as he doesn't work out at all. He'd then run very far away.

Aeryn would then point out that John was here now. She would not point out what she had to do in order to get him down here.

Cameron would happily put up a challenge and have them run against each other or spar. He is starting to get better after all thanks to Aeryn's help.

If the challenge would be between John and Cameron, Aeryn would let them do it because John's surprising her a little at the moment.

Cameron is not dumb enough to think he stands a chance against Aeryn, but he'll happily take on John.
