can_be_moreAeryn comes back to her room after the animal balancing figuring that overall, things could be worse. A lot worse.
After all, any day when she walks out of class should probably be a bad one. Maybe Professor Carter hadn't meant it the way it sounded. Aeryn doesn't really care. Any other course of action would have made her overthink things, and she's made too much progress to start doing that.
And true, people balancing animals on their head had been a little overwhelming with sheer insanity. But she went, and she talked to people. She still isn't entirely sure how to talk to Cameron now, not that she really knows why, but it's getting better. As long as they stay away from subjects like the Peacekeepers it should be fine. Probably. She'll figure out a way to fix it. Angel is obviously suffering from some strange side effect from his illness and should be examined, and... Parker's Parker. Not much to worry about there, and Aeryn's really glad to have one relationship that doesn't seem to have changed while she was gone. And if Parker could figure out at least some of what had happened... maybe Aeryn had to think about why she was trying so hard to keep things quiet. After all, some people are going to have to find out eventually.
Then there's John.
Yesterday... Yesterday had helped. A lot. For once, John Crichton actually made some sense with his rambles. It's had time to sink in, and he's right. About everything, actually, though she can never admit that to him because he'll never let her forget it. And she doesn't regret anything about yesterday, though she's definitely wary of what John thinks is going on. He seems fine with taking things slow, but there's a talk they really need to have. Aeryn doesn't think they're exactly on the same page. Maybe about a lot of things.
But that's okay.It's been almost a month since she left, and while she doesn't feel entirely balanced, she's getting there. Deal with the problems and get through it. She can do that.
