Room 209, Saturday evening

Aeryn has decided she's fine with her current schedule of hitting things, shooting things (or not, and heading home. That will probably change next week, but right now, she's good with it. It's much easier than say, shopping.

Okay, there's also laundry, but that had to be done. She barely even notices anymore if some of John's shirts end up in with hers, and puts them away like normal. If she thinks about it, she could very well freak out, so no thinking. She's done with the the weirdness for now. So she finishes putting everything away, closing the closet door and for some reason opens the door to the room.

"All right," Aeryn answers. "I shot at things. Those tend to be good days."

"Bad mood?" he asks.

She shakes her head and sits next to him. "Gun Club. It was pre-arranged shooting."

"Oh, good." He smiles at her again. "Not gonna pull off my shoes tonight?"

"You have two hands," she reminds him, lightly bumping her shoulder against his.

He toes off his shoes and bumps her back. "You were so eager last night..."

"I was in a mood last night," she admits, and instead of bumping his shoulder she leans on it lightly.

"I know," he says. "I was hear to witness said mood." He puts an arm around her shoulders. "I'll deal with those moods."

"Good," she says, turning to kiss his cheek.

"You can tell me about them, you know," he says, leaning his cheek against her head. "You don't have to but you can."

"I know. I just had to do something for me," Aeryn tells him. "Nothing to worry about."

"Hm. Thought I'd upset you," he admits.

"No," she says, putting her hand on his knee as a sort of reassurance.

"When you'd start calling me your boyfriend again?" he asks randomly.

She almost startles at that, but can't exactly deny it. "When people started asking," she admits.

"What were you calling me before?"

"John," she answers simply. "I only talked to people we already knew, and they already knew, or assumed..."

"Hm." He shrugs against her and kisses her temple. "Either's fine. I was just curious."

She pauses briefly. "The title- or lack of one- shouldn't change anything," she says quietly. "It doesn't affect what we actually are to each other."

"No, it doesn't," he agrees after a moment. "It doesn't. And everyone else knows what we are to each other...except some of the new students. They'll learn."

She lightly scratches at his knee, smiling a little. "They might be disappointed," she says quietly. Big ha to Buffy.

"Why?" he asks.

"They can't have you," she answers, and moves her head in order to kiss him.

He kisses her back but can't help the laugh that escapes. "Other people want me? I'd drive them crazy."

"They don't know you that well yet," she teases. "I know how to handle you."
