Room 238, Tuesday morning

Aeryn is awake and kind of doesn't want to be. She lays there for a couple minutes, trying to get back to sleep, then debates getting up and heading to the gym, or seeing if there's bacon to try that cooking thing Dean was telling her about. Though thoughts of grease fires mean she's nixing that idea pretty quickly. And since she doesn't want to be up, she doesn't actually get up yet.

"Want me to sing?"

"I know you're only going to sing something that's going to get stuck in my head all day," she tells him, frowning a little. "Which might defeat the point."

"True," he confesses. "What can I do?"

"Try harder," she says, curling in closer, and yes that is a verbal pout.

He sighs and moves a little until he can roll them both and she ends up laying on top of him. Then, he starts rubbing her back and shoulders.

"Better," she tells him, turning her head to kiss his neck before resting her head on his shoulder.

"I'm not lumpy?"

She starts to talk, then realizes she's talking into the pillow, so she turns her head. "You're comfortable," she says against his neck.

"Think you can go back to sleep now?" John asks, fingers rubbing circles against the small of her back.

"No," she says quietly- and stubbornly- just because this feels good.

"Why not?"

"Because I like how you do that," she mumbles, sliding down just a little so she can rest her head on his chest.

"You're supposed to be going back to sleep," he laughs, "not flattering me."

"Keep that up and I can do both," she murmurs. "I like your hands."

"Thank you," he says and moves hand up to slide through her hair. "I'm kinda fond of everything attached to you."

"Mm. Just attached?" Aeryn smiles.

"Is there something I should be fond of that isn't attached to you?"

"Just me in general," she says lightly, smiling and closing her eyes. And yes, he only got that answer out of her because she's tired and comfortable again.

"You should know how much I love you in general," he says quietly.

"I do. Love you, too," she murmurs, and stays quiet.

"Aeryn?" He looks down at her. "You asleep?"
