Meerkat cabin- Aeryn's alcove, Thursday night

Aeryn has no classes on Thursday, and hasn't done much of anything today. She's just sitting on her bed, finally actually unpacking her bag. Yes, just now. It's only two weeks, she'd much prefer to live out of her bag, but today she's just sick of it.

There's a singsong of a knock at the door.

"Hi," she greets him, dropping her bag back on the floor.

"Hey," he says, coming inside. "Safe for me to be in here?"

She raises her eyebrows, looking around a little. "Shouldn't it be?"

"Stickbug," he says, pointing to himself.

"To my knowledge, our cabin is not invisible, we do not have wild animals running around, and that means you should be safe," she says, smiling a little.

"Okay," he says and makes his way into her alcove. "Hi."

"How are you?" she asks, abandoning any unpacking because she's not bored anymore.

"Better now," he says and leans forward to kiss her.

She lingers just a little, because she can and because they actually haven't had a lot of time together in the last week. "Glad to hear it," she smiles.

"Just now unpacking?" he asks, eyeing the bag. "You're late."

"There's not much sense in unpacking for two weeks," she points out.

"Then why're you unpacking?"

She shrugs and admits, "I was bored."

"I could've helped you with that," he tells her.

"I know. You almost got a phone call from me," she says. "I just didn't want to bother you if you were busy."

"I wasn't," he says and flops dramatically on her bed. "See, I'm yours."

"And I'm very glad for that," she says, and it's honest. She kicks her bag under the bed, taking a seat on it next to him. It's not a ton of room.

"Aw, you're flattering me," he says and smiles at her. "Tell me I'm cute."

"If I make a habit of it, it'll lose all meaning when I actually do say it," Aeryn tells him.

"Tell me something else then," he suggests.

"I like having you here," she says.

When he smiles this time, it's warm and soft. "I like being here. Wanna do something this weekend? Go out and spend the day outside somewhere? You and me?"

She does like that idea, and it'd be nice to get out of the cabins for a while. "Sure," she says. "Where would we go?"

"Dunno," he admits. "Galactica Point? Preserve? Some secluded place where we can be alone?"
