Room 238, Saturday afternoon

If you didn't know where Aeryn had spent her last two days, you wouldn't know anything had been wrong to see her now. She's letting the A/C run still, mostly to make John feel better than anything as it's really starting to get cold now, but she's back to normal, if still a little loungey. And also, a little bored.

Which is why she's even bothering with the TV, stopping when she gets to the meerkats.

John's feeding Bruno when he looks over at the television and frowns. "What're you watching?"

"Meerkats," she answers, putting down the remote. They run funny.

"What's a meerkat?" John asks, coming over to lean over the back of the couch.

"You were turned into one, weren't you?" Aeryn asks, nodding at the TV. "Meerkats. Like my cabin."

Now John knows why they sounded familiar. "Oh, right." Scowling at the tv, he leans closer and kisses her cheek. "How're you feeling?"

"Good," she says, smiling at him. "Much better."

"Good," he says and kisses her again. "I'm glad to hear that. Want some water?"

"I'm okay," she tells him honestly, turning to touch his face mostly to show him that she's not burning up anymore. "I'm staying hydrated, don't worry."

"I'm not worrying," he says and he's already got a water in his hands. "Much."

Dawn knocked timidly on the door.

Needing to move a little, Aeryn gets up to answer the door before John can. "Hi," she says, a little surprised, and she opens the door for her.

Dawn walked into the room, carrying some books and a bottle of orange juice. "Hi. I heard the radio, and, well, I wanted to say hi. I hope you're better." She thrust the books and juice towards Aeryn. "I didn't know what was wrong with you, but this is kind of the starter kit for when you're sick. Or when you're getting over being sick and no one lets you go anywhere because they're afraid you're going to keel over. Not that that you would, but sometimes people get weird when other people are sick."

She waved at John. "Hi."

"So you've met John, then?" she says quietly so only Dawn can hear, smiling before looking over the books. "Thank you."

"We've met," John says and waves. "Want anything drink? Aeryn's on a water diet right now."

"No, thanks," Dawn shoved her hands in her pockets. "How come just water? Usually even if you can't keep much down, you get to have-ugh!-broth, or toast or jell-o something." She paused. "Er, non-dragony Jell-o, if that makes a difference."

"I'm just starting to feel like eating again," she explains. "It isn't that I can't, it's that I don't want to yet."

"Oh, ugh," Dawn made a face. "That's totally different. I'm glad you're getting better though."

Willow rapped politely on the door.

John's finishing with the feeding of the seamonkeys when there's a knock. He glares at Aeryn to stay seated and opens the door.

"Hey!"

"Hi, John!" Willow waved. "Am I interrupting?"

"Nope! Just doting on Aeryn," he says, motioning her inside. "Aeryn, this is Willow. Willow, that's Aeryn. She's sick and is ordered on bed rest," John says even though it's not exactly the truth.

"Does she need chicken soup or cookies?" Willow asked, momentarily distracted.

"I have juice and meerkats and weapons books," Aeryn tells her. "I'm fine. Hello."

"Hi!" Willow waved. "Sorry to interrupt if you two are being snuggly. I just wanted to ask John a favor."
