Room 238, Sunday evening

Aeryn spent her afternoon training Peter, and when she gets back to the room, she's ready to go looking for something to eat.

She finds the package of Goldfish crackers, and remembering her conversation with Dawn, brings them over to the shark tank. She doesn't do anything, just moves it in front of the tank, wondering if Bruno would go for it. She's slightly disappointed when he doesn't seem to care.

He grins and says, "Yep. You can try more if you want."

"I can't do much indoors," she says, turning herself around to go the other way, still using her hand to stop.

"I know." He grins at her though. "You're doing good though!"

"It's just balance," she says, and turns around again. When she gets to the end of the counter, she says, "I think this really needs to wait until I have more room, though." Because now she has to turn around again.

"You're so hot."

"I'm sliding around a kitchen," she says, but when she gets to the end of the counter, she leans forward to undo the laces on the rollerblades.

"Here, I'll do that," he says and kneels down to undo the laces of the rollerblades.

She puts her hand back up on the counter before she attempts standing up straight again. "Thank you," she says.

"No problem." He unlaces one of the shoes and slides them off before doing the same to the other. "Ta da!"

Aeryn's ankles like not being in the skates. "We're not doing this in Cambridge, by the way. It will ruin the floors."

And that makes John burst out into laughter.

"What?" she says.

"You just sounded so domestic," he says and stands up.

"I did not," she says. "I see scuff marks even now."

She's not helping matters.

"That was domestic," he says and kisses her.

"Was not," she counters.

"Was too."

[can_be_more]

"I was simply stating a fact," she tells him.

"A very domestic fact." He isn't giving this one up.

"It isn't like I told you to clean the marks," Aeryn says.

"Yet," he adds and grins.

"Because we have the DRD for that," she says.

"Yes. Bertram. Fine."
