Pixie cabin, alcove C1, Tuesday afternoon

Aeryn has a headache. This might have to do with being out way too late staring at the sparkly cabin with Mel. She couldn't even be out late for a good reason. It had just been impossible to look away.

So she's not in the best mood today. And she's trying to go over the binder, but is having trouble concentrating on the words. Which is why she got out the laptop to just start looking at sites and wondering why this one has three pages of napkins.

There is always Elvis, really.

She looks up at him and asks, "Did you really just knock?"

"Yeah," he says and nods. "Just in case you were doing something or sleeping."

She closes the laptop. "Neither of those things," she assures him.

"What were you doing?" he asks, coming inside and flopping onto her bed.

"Looking through some sites," she says. "Three pages of napkins. Four of tablecloths. That can't be necessary."

He blinks. "For the wedding?"

She nods. "Yeah."

"You're getting into this," he says, smiling a little.

"I'm sort of morbidly curious," she says. "I researched one thing just to see what it was and three arns later I'm still clicking on all these frelling links that never end."

"Found anything you like?"

"I hardly know what any of it is," she says. "I think I need to get Rory and Isabel together since they seem to know what's actually going on."

"Okay," he says. "Have you seen anything pretty?"

She shrugs. "I'm not sure. It's... overwhelming still." There.

"Then stop trying to rush things," he says. "No need to pick things this instant."

"I'm not trying to. But it's only six months and there are already binders and calendars and I want to have some idea of what I'm doing," Aeryn says.

"Then don't do it on your own," he says. "Even if that means letting other people pick things."

"I know," she says. "But I also don't want to just hand everything over and have no idea what's happenig. I'd like to be informed, even if I'm not making the decision."

He laughs at her. And then reaches out to kiss her hand.

"What?" she asks, smiling a little.

"You sounded like a bride to be," he says gently.

"Is that a good thing?"

"Yep," he says, taking her hand and lacing their fingers together.

She smiles back at him. "What have you been up to?"

"Me? Not much," he says. "Getting stuff ready for tomorrow's workshop. That's about it."
