Aeryn's learned that some dates have meaning, that the time between one yearly milestone and the next can be a really big deal. Thinking from last August 13 to this one, making it through an entire year almost deserves a congratuations.

Which is why she's seriously pissed off that the little blonde bitch with the stupid name that she never remembers called in sick again and didn't get anyone to cover for her, which means Aeryn is pulling a double shift on her anniversary and trying really hard not to threaten customers or coworkers.

"In diguise?" she asked, flicking the end of his moustache with her finger.

"Sure," he said and made to stand up on his chair.

Aeryn's eyes went really wide. "Wait, you were serious?"

"Why not?" And he's actually on the chair now in the middle of the restaurant.

And people were definitely watching. "John! Get down from there," she hissed.

He did as asked and sat back down in his seat. "Can I have some mozzarella sticks?"

"Depends on what kind of tip I'll get," Aeryn said, but she was smiling. Look at that, a joke.

"I'll give it to you at home," he told her and winked.

A woman at a nearby table choked.

Aeryn bit her lip, smile widening. "Anything else?"

"A milkshake," he said.

"Regular or do I need to see your ID?"

"Regular, funny girl," he said and pushed his eyeglasses up his nose.

"I'll be right back," she said, patting his head in an attempt to knock the wig off.

"Watch the hair!" And then John tried to wave Mark over again.

"Not his table," Aeryn said, almost sing-songing it as she went to get the milkshake.

"But I like Mark!"

Aeryn was already by the kitchen, while Mark was at another table, trying really hard to look like he couldn't hear pancake man at all.

A moment later, Aeryn returned with the milkshake, even setting it down on the coaster.

"Can Mark come over for dinner?"

She stared at him. "We're not inviting him over."

John laughed and said, "I don't want to keep you. I'll just make googly eyes at you while you work."

Aeryn shrugged. "I haven't actually gotten a break since this morning and people don't usually come in at this time," she said.

"Oh." He smiled. "Can I meet some of your coworkers? I can tell them my name's Felipe Van de Velde!"

"If you're going to do that, you're definitely not meeting them," Aeryn said, more or less joking.

"Okay, I can be John," he said and took a sip of his milkshake. "Get Mark back over here."

"What is your obsession with Mark? And you're going to get that all over your false face hair."
