Rehearsal dinner- Restaurant in Cambridge- Friday night

Friday was busier than Aeryn had anticipated somehow, with people coming in from out of town, followed by the rehearsal at the hotel where the ceremony and reception would take place. And personally, she had no idea how anyone remembered how all of this sort of thing went, and she thought it was kind of stupid how much emphasis was put on something as simple as walking, but she'd go with it, as apparently these things were important. Or something.

Afterwards, the group made their way to a pizza place nearby to settle in and settle down and have one good night out before tomorrow got more stressful.


[Up early for SP. For bridal party, dates, and other guests to the Friday thingie yay!
ETA: For clarification, cuz a couple people have asked. If you were told you were welcome to the dinner, you were invited. Otherwise the wedding stuff takes place tomorrow.]

"The blur will be tomorrow," John said. "But, I'm good so far. Awake. Not drunk. And there's pizza! And everyone's here and no one got stuck anywhere."

"No freak blizzards or rampaging trolls," Peter agreed. "Obviously we're not on Fandom."

"Massachusetts is boring," John groused but added a smile to the end. "I miss Fandom almost everyday."

"What happens on the days you don't miss Fandom," Peter asked curiously.

"Probably just too tired to miss anything," he said. "Or Aeryn brings dinner home which is always good."

"Anything that involves not actually making the food," Peter agreed. "Do you like university?"

"So far," John nodded. "The classes are a lot more boring than the one's at Fandom but I'm doing okay. Lots of math, lots of science."

Peter made a face. "You and Willow should talk. She'd be entranced for years."

"I made a plea to her on one of my last radio shows!" John said. "She's got an open invite!"

"I'm afraid she'd never come back!" Peter pointed out.

"I'd take good care of her," John promised. "And you could come visit!"

"If I come visit, I'm so definitely leaving with my girlfriend," Peter laughed. "Plus, can't imagine Aeryn would appreciate a long-term visitor while you're newlyweds."

"Good point," John said, conceding defeat. "I'll just send her things I don't want to do and she can knock herself out."

Peter grinned. "If she decides to go college here, then I can blame you. Good to see it works out."

"If she comes to college here, we'll totally be BFF and having study groups together," John decided.
