Rehearsal dinner- Restaurant in Cambridge- Friday night

Friday was busier than Aeryn had anticipated somehow, with people coming in from out of town, followed by the rehearsal at the hotel where the ceremony and reception would take place. And personally, she had no idea how anyone remembered how all of this sort of thing went, and she thought it was kind of stupid how much emphasis was put on something as simple as walking, but she'd go with it, as apparently these things were important. Or something.

Afterwards, the group made their way to a pizza place nearby to settle in and settle down and have one good night out before tomorrow got more stressful.


[Up early for SP. For bridal party, dates, and other guests to the Friday thingie yay!
ETA: For clarification, cuz a couple people have asked. If you were told you were welcome to the dinner, you were invited. Otherwise the wedding stuff takes place tomorrow.]

John pulled open the door and wandered inside, making sure the people knew they'd have a large group and kind of made it less aggravating by telling them he was getting married and making puppy dog eyes.

So, John's at the entrance, waiting for others to arrive because he's a good almost groom. And he missed his friends.

Alanna was there, with a cat in her arms, a date nearby, and in a dress with a sword on her hip. She also couldn't stop beaming.

Peter was actually thankful that everyone had gotten through the rehearsal without getting stabbed. Or shot. Or...well, normally he'd say tears, but that seemed like walking the edge given the bride.

Anakin was there with a small smile on his face.

You'd never know that he had a throbbing headache. The man was brilliant at ignoring things he didn't hat time to deal with at the moment.

Isabel was happily looking forward to the opportunity to catch up with people she hadn't seen in a while.

She was also relieved that they'd made it through the rehearsal without any sort of catastrophe. Not that she was going to say anything like that out loud.

Karal was looking around at everything, wondering if he should have let Altra come after all. Not that he didn't expect him to appear at some point despite his promise to stay in the room.

Peter was in a good mood. The rehearsal went well, it was a Stickbug reunion, Zero was here, and Anakin seemed less likely to kill him than he had been in a couple weeks. Life was good.

Anders had arrived with Wyatt and Isabel, still with that perplexed "OMGWTF too young to have friends getting married" look on his face.

So he was mostly standing by his chair, looking for Parker, and doing a fabulous lost-puppy impression.

Sam wandered in, possibly a little late and looking a bit tired, but with a very definite smile playing at the edges of her mouth at all times.

Habit of a lifetime it was that had George fading into shadows, watching the festivities around him. If his eyes happened to follow a red-headed knight, well that was understandable.

Squirrels were certainly not invited to dinners. And crashing one would just be rude.

So there was absolutely no way there was a wee drunken squirrel weaving its way towards the door.

Because the entire idea is just ridiculous.
