Rehearsal dinner- Restaurant in Cambridge- Friday night

Friday was busier than Aeryn had anticipated somehow, with people coming in from out of town, followed by the rehearsal at the hotel where the ceremony and reception would take place. And personally, she had no idea how anyone remembered how all of this sort of thing went, and she thought it was kind of stupid how much emphasis was put on something as simple as walking, but she'd go with it, as apparently these things were important. Or something.

Afterwards, the group made their way to a pizza place nearby to settle in and settle down and have one good night out before tomorrow got more stressful.


[Up early for SP. For bridal party, dates, and other guests to the Friday thingie yay!
ETA: For clarification, cuz a couple people have asked. If you were told you were welcome to the dinner, you were invited. Otherwise the wedding stuff takes place tomorrow.]

Isabel was fairly certain she would. "You like to live dangerously don't you? Making Aeryn a widow before the wedding night isn't nice."

"She does have a weakness for forts," John said thoughtfully.

"I'm not about to dare you." Isabel liked living too much. "But it would make for cute pictures."

"If things are going smoothly by the time we hit the reception, I think I'll do it."

"So how's college treating you?" she asked. "I just finished all my applications this week. I'm so glad that's over with."

"Not too bad," he said. "Classes are so normal compared to Fandom but I've also gotta take all those entry level basic courses before I get to the fun stuff."

"In other words boring? No Next Top Runway model complete with shirtlessness and weapons?" Isabel grinned. "Damn."

"Math, science, literature," John recited. "One guy in my lit class did come without a shirt one day but that's because he was hungover and lost."

"I'm looking at things like economics, labor relations, and potentially wine tasting for credit," she said. "Which could be interesting given my tolerance."

"It is when you're going for a degree in hotel administration," Isabel replied. "Although it's a 400 level class so I guess they want to make sure you're serious before you can take it."

"In which case, I guess I'm failing." She shook her head and sighed, "You'll notice tomorrow I'll be the one toasting you guys with a diet coke."

"There is nothing wrong with a Diet Coke," John said. "I have a huge amount of those in our fridge."

"I can only imagine, what with real classes and all." And that was something Isabel wasn't quite looking forward to.

"So where are you guys going on your honeymoon? Someplace fun?"

"Oh nice!" she grinned. "Some place on a beach I hope? With fruity drinks?"

"I think so," John said. "Resort. Just so we can relax and do absolutely nothing."

"Now I'm jealous. Do you have room in your suitcase? Just get me there. Then I'll run off and leave you alone," Isabel promised. "I just want to work on my tan."
