Rehearsal dinner- Restaurant in Cambridge- Friday night

Friday was busier than Aeryn had anticipated somehow, with people coming in from out of town, followed by the rehearsal at the hotel where the ceremony and reception would take place. And personally, she had no idea how anyone remembered how all of this sort of thing went, and she thought it was kind of stupid how much emphasis was put on something as simple as walking, but she'd go with it, as apparently these things were important. Or something.

Afterwards, the group made their way to a pizza place nearby to settle in and settle down and have one good night out before tomorrow got more stressful.


[Up early for SP. For bridal party, dates, and other guests to the Friday thingie yay!
ETA: For clarification, cuz a couple people have asked. If you were told you were welcome to the dinner, you were invited. Otherwise the wedding stuff takes place tomorrow.]

Rory, who'd arrived with Anakin and was looking quite a bit more mellow than she had in a long time, quietly watched everyone interacting. She'd missed her friends.

"Sure," he said even though he hadn't. "She said it was cool and it had to be purple."

"Mmm, I don't believe you," she said, shaking her head.

"Mmm, that's because you're smart," John said. "There's no top hat. I think I might try and get the guests to do the YMCA before the ceremony tomorrow."

"And with that you'll go sailing off into your married, adult life," Rory said thoughtfully. "Nice touch."

"Did you get the package?" Sam asked, then added, "I'm sorry I couldn't be there for the party. Did everything work okay? Is there anything you need me to be doing?"

"I got the package. The guy was all cute and called me ma'am even after I told him not to!" Rory said excitedly. "Everything went great and I think it's all going smoothly."

"Oh, good. I do too," she smiled a little dopily when she spotted Jack across the room, "and if it doesn't, well, we'll deal with it." Not that she was going to mention the weapons to Rory.

"If it doesn't, I might have to kill someone," Rory said pleasantly. "But don't worry, it'll be someone annoying, so not you."

Sam wondered briefly about offering Rory her spare knife and leg garter/sheath, but didn't. Giving Anakin apoplexy (not to mention giving Rory a weapon) would probably be bad. "Thanks, I think."

"So let's hope it all goes smoothly," Rory said brightly. "Because I'd have to do it with a butter knife or something."

"Ready for tomorrow?" Aeryn asked. Yes, the bride just asked the maid of honor that.

"What do you want me to do about the people who cry?"

People such as Rory, but she was allergic to...flowers. All flowers. Regardless of which type of flowers she got to hold. So that was why she'd be teary.

Rory looked towards his abdomen, smiling dorkily. "On my end too."
