Rehearsal dinner- Restaurant in Cambridge- Friday night

Friday was busier than Aeryn had anticipated somehow, with people coming in from out of town, followed by the rehearsal at the hotel where the ceremony and reception would take place. And personally, she had no idea how anyone remembered how all of this sort of thing went, and she thought it was kind of stupid how much emphasis was put on something as simple as walking, but she'd go with it, as apparently these things were important. Or something.

Afterwards, the group made their way to a pizza place nearby to settle in and settle down and have one good night out before tomorrow got more stressful.


[Up early for SP. For bridal party, dates, and other guests to the Friday thingie yay!
ETA: For clarification, cuz a couple people have asked. If you were told you were welcome to the dinner, you were invited. Otherwise the wedding stuff takes place tomorrow.]

"None of that made no sense to me, lass, except the war," he barely raised an eyebrow. "How'd that come out?"

"The best that can be said is that it's over," Isabel replied, looking away for a moment. "I have to say though, there were a couple times, I found myself thinking 'What would Alanna do?' and it helped."

Her expression didn't hide too much, and George's face softened. "If you were fightin', I'd have a hard time imaginin' it wouldn't help. Did you tell her?"

"I did yeah," she said. "I told her and Aeryn, the bride, both. I couldn't ask for better role models. And now we're all at a wedding. Life is weird sometimes. But I'm not complaining."

"What about a wedding could be weird?" he asked, eyes flickering over her shoulder again to a redhead.

Isabel followed his gaze and smiled, glad that Alanna had someone looking out for her although she wondered about how George fit into things given what she'd learned Parent's Weekend. But for the sake of not messing up the time line, she wasn't going to say a thing.

"At this one? Mostly that the wedding party is more heavily armed then most police departments."

George grinned. "You've been to Corus," he said. "Round by our parts, it'd be stranger for a wedding party to not have a weapon on 'em."

"That's true. There. Here? Not so much. At least not in this country," she explained. "But then again, there isn't usually a group of people like this gather together. We're all pretty unique."
