Room 209, Sunday morning

Aeryn did not sleep. Pretty much at all. One moment she was letting John go on about kids because it seemed to be keeping him calm, and the next they were finding out that in that other reality, he killed her.

John's reaction is what concerns her. They don't even know for a fact that there is anything in his head, but it doesn't seem to matter. In the early morning when he at least seems to be sleeping, Aeryn spends some time hiding anything potentially dangerous in the room. She's not worried about him trying to hurt her. Not that she's big on leaving him alone right now. Then she comes to bed, drapes an arm across John, and continues to not sleep.

She smiles back a little, because she likes to see him do it. "I don't think that would work too well," she tells him.

"Why not?"

"It's me. I win," she smiles.

"I hide well," he says, still teasing.

"Since when?"

"Secret talent, honey." Another smile.

"Ha."

"I'm going crazy but I can still hide well." And yeah, maybe not the best thing to say but he can't help it slipping out.

She can ignore it. "I'm sticking to my point," she tells him, not skipping a beat.

"Hm." He looks back at her, smiles and then turns over to flop back down on her head on his stomach.

"Sorry. Headache."

"That's okay," she say quietly, running a hand through his hair.

"Mmm." He smiles into her pillows. "Feels nice. You have nice hands."

"Thank you," she says, and keeps doing it just because of that.

"You're welcome," he replies. "It makes it hurt less."

Aeryn smiles a little, and doesn't stop. "Good."

"You might put me back to sleep," he mumbles.

"You need it," she answers. Besides, he's cute when he's sleepy.

"I just woke up," he half whines. "This rate, I'll sleep the day away."

"Is there something wrong with that?" she asks, because he hasn't been sleeping enough to make her happy. "Do you have a better idea?"

"Because I like being awake so I can see you."

Aeryn smiles. "I'm just trying to help the headache," she says.

"I know." And he is getting tired again but he didn't sleep well last time. "You are, believe me. You could sing, see if that helps."

"No," she says quickly, wincing. "I have my limits."

"Please?" He pouts at her. "My head hurts. I've never heard it before and I wanna hear it. I won't tell."

"I only know two songs and no," she says.
