Room 209, Thursday evening

Aeryn's actually looking forward to the Coruscant trip tomorrow. It's her first time offplanet in months, and to be completely honest, she's looking forward to seeing where Anakin comes from. That also means she has to pack a little. The door's open, only because she's finding that all of her things are spread between 209 and 238, and every time she thinks she has everything, there's one more thing she's forgotten.

Traveling- even for a night- was much easier when everything was standard issue.

"That's what happened to me!" He frowns at his arms. "Crutches suck!"

"How's the foot?" she asks him, rubbing his side either reassuringly or patronizingly, she's not sure which. Probably the first thing.

"It's okay," he says, looking at her warily.

"No more hopping?"

"No," he says. frowning at his foot. "I'm fine."

She looks at his foot, too. "Are you expecting it to revolt?"

"You're kinda mean," he points out.

Aeryn nods, looking back up at him like she's wondering if this is news.

He frowns. "You hurt my feelings."

"How?" she asks.

"I dunno." He grins again. "It just sounded like the right thing to say."

"Not really," she says, but the corners of her mouth are turning up a little.

"Be nice to me." He frowns. "You're leaving and I'll miss you lots."

"I'll be back tomorrow," she tells him again. "Just a very short trip."

"So, that means you gotta be nice to me," he says.

"I'm not good at nice," she says.

"Then kiss me instead."

She doesn't even answer, just kisses him. It's much better than nice.

"Don't go falling in love with some Jedi now," he says against her lips. "I'd be devastated."

"They're not allowed anyway," she says, sliding her arms around him. "And I like you better."

"They have cool powers," he says and slides his arms around her shoulders. "I don't."

"But I love you," she reminds him, kissing him again to prove it.

"I love you too," he says and smiles at her.

Smiling back, she says, "After I finish up in here, I could head back to your room and prove it."

"I'd like that," he says and he smiles. Gleefully. "I'll go commando just for you."
