Aeryn's seen pictures of sharks before. Looking at the tank, and all the things in it, up to and including said shark is a little bit confusing.

"I think they lied to you at the store," Aeryn says.

"Yeah." He nods and closes his eyes. "Thanks."

"It's what I'm here for," she says, kissing his cheek.

"Good," he says and hugs her again. "Thank you."

"You don't have to thank me," she tells him, smiling a little. "Let alone twice."

"You're the best thing that ever happened to me." Yeah, he's a sap.

"I find that hard to believe," she says, but she kind of likes hearing it.

"Seriously."

"You're the best thing to hppen to me, too," she says, and although she's never thought about that before, it's true.

And that drives away the last of the sadness. "Then we're agreed. And we're cute."

She laughs a little. "Are we?"

"Very cute." He nods knowingly. "We're cuteness personified."

Aeryn kisses his chin, just because she likes touching him right now. "That's a lot to live up to."

"Nah, you're naturally gorgeous," he says. "No work for you at all."

"You mean I don't have to do all the work for once?" she teases, wrapping an arm around his neck.

"Nope. You look beautiful with no work at all."

She kisses him lightly, but lingers for a while.

"Wanna go lay down?" John asks, gesturing to the bed.

"We could do that," she says, and turns a little to pull him with her in that direction, because the alternative means not touching and she's not ready for that yet.

"We don't have to sleep," he tells her and waggles his eyebrows.

Aeryn grins. "I didn't think we were going to."
