Room 238, Thursday morning

The summer's almost over and Aeryn still hasn't learned about that thing called 'laziness'. It's not too early, but Aeryn's up already and just laying there isn't doing anything for her. Not wanting to wake John, she sits up and starts to get out of bed.

Aeryn frowns. "You're a what?"

"Blow up doll," he repeats, burying his face in her pillow.

She has no idea what that is. "Are you flirting with me?"

That makes him shake with laughter and he opens one eye. "Sure."

"There are easier ways to do it than confusing me with language," she informs him, but she's glad to see him a little more awake.

"Cook me some pizza?" Yes, he's lazy in the morning.

"I already fed the animals. Maybe I'm done for the morning," she says, though she'll probably do it anyway.

"Please," he says and blinks at her sleepily. And, just to try and seal the deal, he rubs his eyes and looks adorable as can be.

Aeryn knows what he's doing. And just this once she lets it work.

She gets up, and a couple minutes later brings the plate back to him, sitting again with her back againt the headboard.

He grins and wakes up a little more, nibbling on the pizza before laying his head in her lap.

She smiles down at him and asks, "Comfortable? Can I get you a pillow?"

"No, you're pillow enough," he says quietly and closes his eyes again. But he keeps eating. "This is nice."

She rubs his back lightly. "You might want to wake up before you choke."

"I can chew and sleep," he tells her and does just that. "I'm talented."

"Not that talented," Aeryn says. "I'd prefer you not to die in my lap out of laziness."

"I'm comfortable," he protests and buries his head in her lap,

"I know. But maybe you shouldn't multitask right after waking up."

He takes another bite and shows her that he can do it.

"Should I applaud?"

"It might be nice."

"It takes a little bit more to impress me, John," she tells him.

So, he takes a bite with his eyes closed AND touches his nose with the tip of the pizza.

"More than tat."

"You ask too much for so early in the morning."

[can_be_more]

"I'm still hard to impress no matter what time of day it is," she reminds him. "And it's not that early."
