Room 238, Monday morning

After yesterday's talk with Vader, Aeryn pretty much went into quiet avoidy mode. It wasn't even that the talk had gone badly; in fact he'd only yelled once. But still, hearing those words out of Anakin's mouth was disconcerting, at best.

Which is today's excuse for why she didn't really sleep, and why she's finally starting to get out of bed. Hey, if she's going to be awake, might as well put that to use for something like breakfast.

"Too late," he grins back.

"I haven't even done anything, and that's months away."

"Too late and too bad," he says. "I worry ahead."

"Yes, that had come to my attention," she tells him.

He shrugs and says, "I'm weird that way."

She smiles. "I'd noticed that, too."

He tosses a damp sponge at her.

She catches it after it hits her shoulder. "That was not mature behavior."

"I've never been one to be mature," he says.

"Also noticed that," she says, tossing the sponge back at him.

He dodges the sponge because he's talented like that.

"Better reflexes than I thought, though."

"I'm skilled like that," he says and throws the sponge back at her.

"You're being very childish," she says, catching the sponge and running it under the faucet.

He shrugs and says, "So stop me."

She ponders the sponge, which is now dripping onto the floor.

He looks at the sponge and then looks at her. "Try it, woman."

"I do have a name," she reminds him as she tries wringing the sponge out over his head.

"You're name is sweet cheeks," John says, moving out of the way.

She throws the sponge at his head.

He dives behind the couch.

"Are you actually hiding?" she asks.

"Maybe," he says, not looking up.
