Room 238, Sunday afternoon

Aeryn is just about to step out of the shower when she hears a now-familiar little bark. At eye level. Her first reaction is to hide mostly behind the shower curtain. "No playing now," she says. "Let me get dressed first."

Vladdie barks again and tries to lick her nose.

"Yes, thank you," Aeryn tells him. "Out of the bathroom. Then we'll play."

Vladdie licks her chin this time.

Aeryn sighs.

Bertram skitters in the now open door and bleeps at both Vladdie and Aeryn. He wants to play too.

If he takes pictures while she's wearing a shower curtain, she's going to have to dismantle him. "No. Out, both of you."

Vladdie at least flies away from Aeryn to say hi to his new friend.

Betram squeaks at Vladdie and does take a picture. He can't help it, he's excited!

Now Vladdie's barking excitedly and Aeryn has to call over the noise, "John!"

Bertram's snapping pictures madly, caught up in the excitement of his new friend.

John, after taking his time, appears in the doorway to the bathroom. "Yeah?"

"Get them out of here long enough for me to get dressed," she says. "No more pictures!"

"Bertram's taking pictures?" John gives Bertram a very subtle thumbs up.

Vladdie barks a hello to John.

"I'd like to get out of the shower now, but they need to leave first," she says.

John barks a hello back at Vladdie.

John is also having trouble keeping the laughter contained. "How am I supposed to get them out? They look like they're having fun!"

"Pick them up and carry them out," Aeryn tells him seriously.

"They seem to be happy right here," John says, leaning casually against the door frame.

"John. We're back in the cabins for two weeks after today. I suggest you be nice."

"Are you threatening me?" John asks, amused.

Bertram is now running into the side of the tub, trying to get in there with Aeryn.

Aeryn looks down at Bertram. "Stop it."

She looks back at John. "I'm saying that I am in a shower, while several others are here with me and I'm getting absolutely no help, and that leads to me being upset."

"They like you," John tells her. "They just wanna be friends with you."

"They can be friends with me when I'm dressed," she says. And it's probably bad that the only reason she's not getting snappy is because she's not wanting to traumatize Rory's puppy.

John finally comes into the bathroom and scoops Bertram up. Bertram manages to take one more picture before John turns him away.

"C'mon, Vladdie. Out we go!"

"Close the door!" she reminds him, because she's not getting out until then.

After letting Vladdie fly out, John closes the door. He sets Bertram down and, just to be funny, takes Toasty out of the freezer.

He sets Toasty in front of the bathroom door.

Aeryn finally steps out of the shower and starts getting dressed. And look, a whole minute of peace!

Aeryn opens the door, and not looking down, accidentally kicks the toaster.

Toasty kinda skids away from the door.

Watch it, you git!
And don't move to fast or your pants might split!

"John, you are in so much trouble," she says, and kicks the toaster on purpose this time.

John's too busy laughing on the bed, Vladdie's barking at him, and Bertram is skittering around at Aeryn's feet again.
