Room 238, Wednesday morning

Aeryn would normally be up by now, already dealing with breakfast or the like. She's awake, but for some reason today she's content to stay right where she is, at least for a little while longer. She blames the warm bed and still adjusting back from Bettina's weird schedule this weekend.

Bertram bleeps at her happily from John's side of the bed. He's on the floor, of course, but he's still bleeping.

John's still asleep...for now.

"It's still early," she mumbles in response to the noise.

Bertram scooters over to her side of the bed and bleeps at her. He might want to see Artoo.

Aeryn looks over the side of the bed and says, "I don't know what you're saying."

Bertram bleeps louder and starts spinning around in circles.

"Later," she says. "Whatever it is, later."

"What're you doing?" John mumbles sleepily.

"Your DRD is being demanding," she explains quietly.

"Is he hungry?"

She pauses, wondering if she heard him correctly. "He doesn't eat."

Bertram starts banging into the side of the bed.

"He could eat stuff."

"No, he couldn't. Bertram, stop," Aeryn says.

"Maybe he wants you to walk him," John says, yawning and burrowing closer to her.

"He can roll around the room himself," she says, frowning but not hating the closeness.

Bertram quiets down but keeps his eyestalks pointed squarely at Aeryn.

"That's better," she says, because she isn't looking at Bertram to see him watching her.

"You and Bertram need to get along," John mumbles again.

"We get along just fine," she insists."It's just early."

"Maybe he just needs friends," John says.

"He met Luke's droid. There was property damage. And possibly plotting."

"Where was I at?"

"Being happy somewhere, I think," she says. "I don't remember exactly when this was." Again, early.

"I'll have to take Bertram by Luke's room so they can play and Luke can kill me," he says absently.

"Good plan," she says, just as absently. "I restricted Bertram to quarters after the wall thing, though."
