Room 238, Wednesday morning

Aeryn would normally be up by now, already dealing with breakfast or the like. She's awake, but for some reason today she's content to stay right where she is, at least for a little while longer. She blames the warm bed and still adjusting back from Bettina's weird schedule this weekend.

"Because you didn't admit, you just agreed with me," he says. "I want to hear the words."

"Are you serious?" And then she realizes it's John. Yes, he's serious.

"I am serious," he says, sounding more awake now.

She rolls her eyes andsays, "the bed is better."

He smiles and leans over to kiss her. But he might have morning breath.

She lets him kiss her, but says, "As much as I love you? Brushing is a good idea."

"Awww, you love me lots?"

"Yes but not your breath at the moment."

"I just woke up," he says like that explains it.

"I realize," she says helpfully.

"You have morning breath too," he says even though she doesn't.

"Fine, I'll go brush my teeth and set a good example."

"No!" He wraps her up with arms and legs. "Don't leave the bed."

She laughs a little and tells him, "That's not very productive."

"But we're nice and warm here."

"Yes, but if I'm going to be this close I'd rather not be distracted," she smiles.

"I won't kiss you," he offers.

"And how does that help me?"

"We're still warm and snuggly in bed."

"You're very frustrating," she notes idly.

"I'm sorry?"

[can_be_more]

"If you get up to do it, I'll make it up to you," she promises. She has learned how to bargain, yes.

"But I'm warm," he complains.

"Take the blanket with you."

So, fine. He starts to get up and takes all the blankets with him.
